Daily Cleaning & Maintenance
Python skin is extremely delicate. Clean gently on a daily basis and never scrub hard.
Dust with a dry cloth
Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe gently along the scale grain to remove surface dust.
This is the most basic and safest cleaning method.
Use an eraser for stubborn stains
For marks a dry cloth cannot remove, use a clean eraser and wipe gently.
Always wipe with the scales, not against them, to avoid damaging the texture.
Before use, rub the eraser a few times until the shavings are pure white to prevent staining.
Keep dry
Python skin is highly sensitive to moisture!
Store in a dry, ventilated area to avoid scales sticking together or mold developing.
Place desiccant paper or tissue paper inside the bag to absorb moisture and maintain its shape.
⚠️ Maintenance Mistakes to Avoid
Some common methods are harmful to python skin. Avoid these at all costs.
Do NOT wash with water
Water, especially mist or rain, is a big no-no.
Contact with water may cause scales to crack, deform or fall off, resulting in permanent damage.
Keep away from chemicals
Never use alcohol, wet wipes, or chemical-based cleaners.
They will corrode the leather, causing discoloration or stiffening.
Avoid direct sunlight and heat
High temperatures and direct sunlight remove natural oils, causing cracking and scale loss.
If your bag gets wet, blot moisture with a dry cloth and air-dry in a cool, ventilated area.
Do not use a hair dryer on heat mode.
Use leather oil with caution
Most exotic leathers such as python and crocodile are not recommended for home leather oils or lotions, as they may leave oil stains or alter texture.
🎁 Storage & Hardware Care
Proper storage
When not in use, cover the bag with cotton cloth or a dust bag and store in a dry, dark place.
For long-term storage, fill the bag with acid-free paper to preserve its shape.
Hardware care
Hardware may oxidize and darken over time.
Wipe regularly with a soft cloth or jewelry polishing cloth to keep it shiny.
